Finally - I started...

Finally I stopped dragging my feet this week and started to submit some images to stock photo websites. I submitted a total of 4 images - I took the shots and cleaned them up and double and triple checked everything. I can truly say that this is a very hard process and I know that it will become a process that I do weekly - submitting anywhere from 5-10 images a week.

Well here are the images that I submitted - excuse the overuse of my logo all over them ... as they are copy protected big time. I have lots of others to submit but wanted to start out simple... whatdoyathink? I call the 1st one "I love Coffee"... it's my favorite of the 4.

Carrasco Family - GO COWBOYS!!

What a great family, they were super friendly and loved to joke around AND they also loved the Cowboys! My kinda people! HA. But really - GO COWBOYS! The shoot took place last Saturday at Garden of the Gods, and all of them were Super Troopers to bare the 19 degrees cold weather of Colorado Springs that day, my fingers were a little dumb afterwards - but it was so well worth it.

Chrissy and Family - you all were amazing and such a pleasure to work with ... below are a small sample of the images of our shoot...

Blessed is this life...

Wow is it beautiful out here with snow everywhere. It's always good to count your blessings in your life from day to day, just to take a bit of time out every now and day and thank God for the blessings in your life. For me, having a beautiful wonderful wife and a absolutely delightful little girl who in my honest opinion is the bestest most behaved smartest little girl I know..., health and wonderful friends back in Texas who I dearly miss... and of course living in the Great State of Colorado and getting to wake up to these mountains! I am blessed in this life no matter what comes my way

Tara and I noticed today that this time of year is stressful if you let it be, for us it starts as Tara Birthday, My Birthday, Thanksgiving, Our Anniversary, Christmas, and then Kenzie's Birthday... wow we're busy and stress can come quickly. But really we all need to take a moment to set back and remember the true meaning of Christmas and not get so stressed out.

Here are some beautiful pictures from our backyard... (ok maybe more like our backyard down the road about 2 miles...)

(IT TAKES A MOMENT TO LOAD... WORTH THE WAIT...)

Don't send a lame Starring You! eCard. Try JibJab Sendables!

Sad and pointless...

Yesterday's tragic events here in Colorado Springs and in Denver had me awake last night till 2 AM - just sitting in bed praying for all the families effected by this pointless incident - I was angry, sad, scared, and hopeful that God would somehow be gloried through this horrible senseless act. He hated us is what the news media has come to find out - Christians.... and wanted us dead. I just can't understand that - how does someone hate someone else or a group of other people so much that you just plan it out that you're going to murder innocent human beings just cause they've placed their trust in Jesus Christ. I've grasped on to something that I whole heartedly believe in - a belief that sustains me daily in knowing that no matter what happens my family and my loved ones will be OK.

I realize that this world is a crazy place and that this type of thing can happen anywhere, but when it comes 10 miles close to your doorstep it just gives you this uneasy feeling like someone just broke into your house, it makes you angry that someone killed for no reason. The saddest thing to me is that the young man that came to kill hundreds of people got shot dead and because of his hatred and disbelief in Christ (how do I know he wasn't a Christian - cause Mass Murder isn't one of the fruits of the spirit) is probably the only one of all the victims of this that died in his Sins and will spend eternity away from God. (I believe this cause that's what the Bible says - Rev.21:8).

I stayed up last night mourning the loss of these innocent people - and of the one that killed them all. I stayed up last night to also think about how quickly life can end and how I need to change some things in my life to make sure I'm living it to it's fullest and doing everything for my family and for Christ Jesus who has given me life everlasting and the strength to know that everyday is a new day to do something great.

My Pastor said it best in an email to the congregation today - this email really gave me lots of encouragement: (here's a small portion of it...)

We have all asked ourselves the question, “WHY?” or “How could this happen?” Rather than making our heads spin let’s look for the good. I praise God the four who died had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and today they are celebrating that relationship in heaven with Him. I praise God nobody went to hell yesterday. I praise God the injuries and death were not greater. I praise God for the head of security at New Life being sensitive to his heart and the situation in Denver by adding extra security Sunday morning. I praise God the security woman was in place, responded efficiently, and kept her cool in an extremely difficult situation. I praise God that many people will start new or start over in their relationship with God as they ponder and evaluate the condition of their own heart and their readiness to meet the Lord.

Be confident! Be of Good cheer! You have a relationship with Jesus Christ. 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.” 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 says, "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. If we live we win. If we die we win. Paul said, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” For the believer there is no defeat.

Court & Jen Collier

I knew Court growing up in Tulsa Ok., we were roommates once upon a time and high school friends. We lost touch for a long time but always seemed to talk every 5 years or so... well fast forward to now and he's married a very beautiful woman and owns a successful Roller Skating Center in Sand Springs OK - I couldn't be more proud of what he has become and where he is going with his life. Congratulations Court on everything you've accomplished, there's lots more road for both of us to travel and I'm certain we'll continue to cross paths, I definitely would love to have you and Jen out to Colorado some time.

I meet Court and Jen out in Tulsa at the pedestrian bridge to start our session and ended at their skate rink, everything turned out great, I LOVE their images, here's a sample of their shoot... ENJOY! -E

Too too cute Kayla

Wow I'm really lovin' the lite snow fall that we've had here in the Springs, it's made for nice backdrops. So I met up with Kayla and her Mom out at one of my favorite parks (Fox Run Park) and had a wonderful photo session and captured some great memories of such an adorable little girl. She's just too too cute....

Family Visit to Tulsa & New Baby Niece

Ok so we're on a small vacation at this time - visiting family in Oklahoma as well as a small photo shoot out here today --- which in fact went GREAT and can't wait to post some pictures to show you all. We're out visiting as my older sister had a little baby last week on Nov 26th - and this is the 1st time that my family has been together in a house for a long long long time - it's really great and I truly have missed them ALL.

So below are some images from our visit to my sisters - didn't want to stay long cause well for those of you that have had babies know that you want your time alone with you and your spouse and your newborn baby --- that time is still really special for the 1st few weeks (for us it's special time ALL the Time!) ---

My sister and her fiance' work for Chili's - she's a GM and he's a Manager soon to be a GM... so this picture is really fitting for a Chili-head family... ha.

Cousins together at last... and Kenzie is the Oldest Cousin! Crazy! ...
